Congratulations to CaliWarriors alumni Lucas Erceg (3B) and Matt Krook (P) on getting called up as non-roster invitees for 2019 MLB Spring Training! Erceg attended UC Berkeley and Menlo College before being drafted into the Milwaukee Brewers system in the 2nd round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He has put up some excellent numbers in his MiLB career, going .270 AVG / .323 OBP / .428 SLG with 37 HR, 154 R, and 185 RBI over 1241 AB’s at all levels from ROK to AAA. Krook was drafted out of high school, but chose to attend the University of Oregon instead. The San Francisco Giants in the 4th round of the 2016 MLB Draft and subsequently traded him to the Tampa Bay Rays. He has had a strong career in MiLB, having tossed 206 IP with 241 K’s and a 4.89 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .227 AVG.
