#23 – David Cook

My name is David Cook and I will be a 2022 graduate at Petaluma High School. I prove to my teachers, coaches, and friends every day that I am a very hard worker and succeed in anything I put my mind to. I thrive in a classroom environment, as I maintained a 4.16 GPA sophomore year, while taking advanced and AP classes and writing for the school newspaper.

As a freshman, I was quickly pulled up to the JV baseball team, becoming the starting shortstop and pitcher while batting in the two-spot of the line-up the entire season. I was named MVP after my first year of high school baseball because I was a reliable pitcher, stellar utility infielder (as I can play second and third base as well), and the best catcher on the team, according to the coaches. I am always ready for any play and I constantly think ahead, and my coaches have told me that my biggest strength is my ability to think on my feet and be ready for anything. These qualities have always made me an asset on the field for any team I have played for.

I have been a leader and communicator throughout my athletic career. I have used this to my advantage on the baseball field, as well as on the basketball court where I won the MVP of the JV team and eventually was pulled up to varsity last season. I am excited to play my first year with the Cali Warriors this summer.
